Baghira Log Huts are located in kisli and have the distinction of being the only resort in reserved forest.These are run by MP Tourism.
How to Reach: Nearest Airport and Major Railway station is Jabalpur  . Distance is 151 km from Railway Station.
Cost of taxi is Rs 2000 -2400 from Jabalpur Railway Station.
We used service of  Meraj Travels which costed Rs 5000,which included to and fro journey and a tour of Jabalpur city.Service was impeccable. Meraj Travels website is http://www.meraztravels.com/http://www.meraztravels.com/

Its a 3 hour Journey From Jabalpur and to reach Baghira Log Huts,one has to enter from main gate of reserve forest by showing the booking.

As the resort is  inside the jungle,no shops are available nearby. There are no TV's in the room.In spite of   it being a government property,the service was great.But the number of staff is limited and you have to wait for some time after giving order.Food was delicious.
The biggest plus point is that you get a chance to live inside a real jungle.
So its a must go for one night.

1.Phoney prepaid Tickets.
This happened at Srinagar Airport .Some guy issued prepaid  Taxi ticket just after claiming  baggage.In the end it was fount that he charged much than market rates.

Remedy: Go to the prepaid booth only 

2. Houseboat Scam
many guy will show you the pictures of great houseboat online and in Delhi.Later you will find that you are stuck in filthy Houseboat.
Remedy :Book Houseboats in Sringar only and that too after inspecting them 

3. Closed Hotel
Taxi Driver/Auto Driver will tell you that your hotel is closed and he will offer an alternative accommodation at cheap rates.

Remedy :Keep Number of hotel with you and verify from them.

4. Good old Smartian 
Some one will offer to help you to find best hotels or shops and will land you at dollar guzzling places.


Remedy :Say thanks and explore yourself . 


5. Help By Host
Your Hotel /Houseboat will offer to help you for taxi and further bookings.In the end you find that you were overcharged heavily .

6.Gurus.
In India gurus/sadhus  can be found everywhere who will try to guide you spiritually and financially.After that you find you were robbed financially


Remedy :Finance and spiritualism are worlds apart.be wary of anyone who speaks about money while giving advice on religion.

7. Ticket Checkers
You Board a train.you are approached by a TTE who offer to upgrade you at a low cost.In the end you find he was an imposter. 


Remedy : Real TTE have three things 
1. List of Passengers
2. Badges. 
3. They check all passengers  .

8. Beggars 
In India you will be tailed by beggars everywhere.Never give them money. Or you are likely to get loads of them
 Remedy :Visit their place if you want to eradicate poverty or give them something to eat after opening the packet otherwise they will sell the packets.Best remedy is dont give anything to them.

9. Priests
never perform a puja with an Indian priest before knowing the charge beforehand.this is specially applicable for cities like Haridwar,Banaras,Puri.


 Remedy :Say no to priests on first encounter. 


10 . Taxi /Auto Drivers. 
Many will show you the entire location beforing taking you to your desired destination if you have hired them by time or meter.
 

 Remedy :Opt for prepaid vehicle or ask the charge before  commencing the journey.never go by meter.Ask 5-6 drivers at different places if you are unsure.

It is situated just oppsite the Dal lake.Lake view is available in some of the rooms.

If you are staying in the hotel,you just have to cross the road to reach bank of Dal lake.There is a shikara stand in front of the hotel.Nehru Place Shikara Stand is at walkable distance from the hotel.

Average on outside with  but great on inside .Lifts are avialbale and hotel is decorated tastefully.Rooms are big .

Delhi to Srinagar /Srinagar to New  Delhi Flight Experience  March 2014
Traveled with Family from Delhi to Srinagar by Air in last week of march 2014.Security at Delhi Airport is quite tight.Since we were traveling first time on this route.We reported 2 hours before departure. After checking waited for nearly one hour for the flight.
For economy class passengers, airline like indigo,Spicejet etc take passengers in a bus to the plane.
The buses have limited seating capacity and as the distance is not too much many pessanger prefer to travel standing in the crowded buses. The buses stop near airplanes after which passangers enter planes in queues.

The Flight was on schedule. After wait of 10 mins ,plane  took off and soon reached height of 10 km.
The weather in Delhi was cloudy but at height the clouds were below us.After nearly 50 minutes flying time,we saw snow clad peaks of Kashmir which were looking very beautiful.After 65 minutes of flying, plane started to land on Srinagar Airport.
A perfect landing  resulted in claps and cheers from passengers.
There are no buses in Srinagar Airport to carry passanger from plane to Airport building.instead the Airport uses airbridges which connect plane to the airport.
There was one person inside the airport offereing prepaid taxi.We commited the blunder to took Taxi from him.later we learnt that he overcharged us.To get prepaid Taxi ,visit prepaid taxi booth just outside the Airport.
Return journey
We started early from hotel.The luggage was scanned nearly 1.5 km outside Airport Building by security personnel.passengers have to disembark from taxi and put the luggage on belt attached to scanner.
There are additional security checks at Srinagar Airport and Cabin baggage is not allowed.
Before final security checkup,you have to identify your luggage deposited at time of obtaining Boarding passes,otherwise your luggage will not be sent inside the airplane.
Rest of the journey was same as incoming  and we landed at new Delhi Airport in 75 minutes.

But the information on Trekking Guides online is outdated
Nearest Railway station is Parasnath railway station
from there are two otpions for trekking (only in theory)
One is from Nimiaghat while other is through Madhuban
No one goes from Nimiaghat,its only in theory
Only possible way is go to Madhuban and then Hike 13 Km on foot
From Parasnath (Isri Baazar) to Madhuban  Taxi Charge is Rs 350
In lean season they can settle for Rs 200/-
Other option is shared Trekker which Charges From Rs 30. to Rs. 40  per head.
Few Things to note  (For Non Jain Trekkers)
1. Stay in Madhuban Instead of Isri Baazar
2.No leather is allowed for trek,so get purse,shoes and Belts made of Canvas.
3. Busy Season is from August to January.During other months there are ample stay opportunities at Madhuban
4.Jains eat before sunset.So canteens in Madhuban Dharmshalas offer diner between 5 to 6.30 Pm.Stock Enough Food for Night if you need.
5. Pilgrims Start trek at 0300 AM with help of Torches.Starting at 3 am will help in saving lot of time.

Eatables are available along the way.But Charges are extra.A water Bottle Costing Rs 12-15 will be available for Rs 30 on the way.A cup of tea will cost Rs. 10 . A 12 Rs MRP mango Juice will cost cost Rs 20.

After 7 km there are two Options.One is the traditional way consisting of many stairs,other is great trekking Route going to Parasnath Temple .So opt for the Right way going to Parasnath if you are interested in trekking  .

There is a Jain Museum at Madhuban which can be skipped easily.Ticket for this museum is Rs 10.And the persons ask for donations.There are Binouculars installed here for viewing.but they are just ordinary Binoculars,So Skipping is easy if you have your own Binoculars
